A locally founded charitable organisation, which has no affiliation to any bodies, has been established and duly registered in 1981 with an ultimate objective of "encouragement of good deeds", i.e. to foster the idea of mutual assistance, radiate the warmth of affection, care and concern among the community especially to the less fortunate.

Mr Eddie Tay, the founder, sparked off the idea twenty years ago after discovering the widening of isolation gap among human beings, bridging the gap is therefore a pressing obligation for him. With his experiences and perseverance, he established it single-handly aiming to serve the community at large regardless of rain or shine.

Initially, propagation about the organization widely wasn't his cup of tea, he preferred to do charity without being named.

Decades have passed, the zeal for doing charity can never fade away with time. In contrast, membership has been growing over the years. Our services do not confine to old folks homes, but also the mentally retarded and children's homes.

In view of the inconveniences in movement of the old folks for medical consultation, two Mobile Free Clinics were established, so as to provide regular medical care to the homes for the aged, enhance Chinese Traditional and Advanced technological medical services, indoctrinate the aged with health and knowledge and instigate more social organizations to contribute such service to the aged homes.

At the requests of the residents from the housing estates, medical service has been extended to cater for the poor and the needy.
Moreover, entertaining programmes were planned to cheer up the lonely souls, we were in turn being inspired by them. Besides, professional seminars are conducted to highlight various issues such as legal aspects, matrimonial and social problems and a better tackling of them with a concerted effort.
With the beginning of the new millennium, the encouragement of good deeds will continue to be our motto, individually and collectively.
